About

Polina Glukhova's project traces the artist's journey from academic school to an authorial system. Color, texture, and the movement of form become a language of inner freedom and emotional uplift. At the center of attention is the transformation of ochre into red. This image works as a metaphor for growing up: the calm natural foundation gradually gains temperature, becoming bolder, louder, and freer. Through painting, Polina Glukhova tells the story of the transition from learned rules to her own way of speaking to the world. The first section showcases the academic foundation. Here, portraits, landscapes, sketches, and careful work with light and shadow, perspective, and composition are important. But even in these works, the artist tries to break free from the familiar system. Next, color begins to behave differently. In abstract works, geometry, asymmetry, ruptures, layers, and broad strokes appear. Red enters into a dialogue with other shades, paint flows, and gathers into dense textures. The final section is dedicated to "dopamine art" - a concept where bright combinations, relief, and dynamic lines work towards a sense of joy. The viewer reads the painting physically: with their eyes, the memory of touch, and mood. The current Moscow program is presented on KUDAGO.
