A large-scale project on book graphics shows how a familiar text can sound anew when artists from different schools and generations work with it. The exhibition transforms biblical stories into a living visual language, where tradition, personal intonations, and bold artistic exploration intertwine. At the center of the exhibition are original illustrations created by contemporary artists specifically for a series of publications dedicated to the books of the Old and New Testaments. The sheets are united in graphic cycles, so the viewer sees not a collection of separate pictures, but a sequential visual narrative: from restrained Old Testament scenes to emotional episodes related to New Testament plots. The project involves masters of graphics and painting, whose names are known from museum collections and exhibitions. Among the participants are academicians and active members of artistic associations, honored artists, and award winners. Each chooses their own path to the text: some follow the narrative, while others build images around key motifs, using the language of symbols and metaphors. The exhibition brings together authors from different regions. Works are presented in the techniques of lithography and etching, acrylic and tempera, ink and pastel, as well as in mixed and rare techniques. The viewer notices how differently color and line work: from transparent watercolor moods to dense contrasts of light and shadow. Thus, a multitude of voices emerges, in which the ancient text acquires a contemporary sound and unfolds in various visual images.
