The exhibition invites visitors to view deception as a natural law of nature rather than a purely human trait. Here, lies turn out to be an ancient tool in the struggle for life: they help hide, outsmart enemies, obtain food, and ensure the continuation of the species. Among the heroes of the exhibition are masters of camouflage and transformation. Some blend in with leaves and bark, others imitate dangerous creatures, and some use unexpected lures and visual effects to deceive prey or deter predators. There is particular interest in examples of behavioral play: pretense, false alarm signals, mating tricks, and entire performances. The project is not limited to biology. It connects scientific observations with an artistic perspective on nature and shows how the theme of deception has been reflected in animal art.
