Aristarkh Chernyshev's work revolves around a feeling familiar to almost anyone trying to keep up with how the modern world is changing. Technological news multiplies at such a speed that individual discoveries, developments, and loud announcements merge into a continuous noise. A person seems to gain access to a vast amount of information, but at the same time increasingly loses the ability to see a clear picture within it. This very state becomes the subject of artistic expression. The installation uses the form of a tangled ticker tape, turning news messages into an indistinguishable visual pattern. The text exists right before the eyes, but reading it to the end is almost impossible. A paradox arises: information seems to be available, but perception still encounters a failure.
