Valery Alexandrov's watercolor project connects the Petersburg landscape with the intonation of Blok's poetry, where urban views sound both lyrically and precisely, allowing one to see familiar architecture through a soft painterly lens. The exhibition is built on a subtle comparison of painting and poetry, in which the image of Petersburg is revealed in two artistic languages. Valery Alexandrov's watercolors are perceived as a continuation of Blok's intonation: soft light, blurred outlines, misty depth, and almost imperceptible movement of air create an image of a city that lives not only in architecture but also in memory and mood. At the same time, the artist does not dissolve the urban appearance in atmosphere alone. Behind the haze and muted transitions, the strict and clear structure of Petersburg emerges - palaces, cathedrals, temples, spires, waterfront lines, and the curves of bridges.
