At the K.A. Timiryazev Library, the photographs of Nadezhda Bouallag transform fears into a visual experience. The exhibition at the K.A. Timiryazev Library revolves around a theme that everyone encounters - personal fears and anxieties. Nadezhda Bouallag, a member of the Union of Photographic Artists of Russia, has been working on this project for several years, where the conversation about phobias is transferred to the realm of visual art. Instead of dry definitions and lists of diagnoses, the viewer is presented with a series of photographs where emotional response is more important than the precise name of the condition. There are no captions under the works, so each viewer looks at the frames through their own experience and constructs the stories hidden within them. Different types of fear are brought to the forefront - from social fears to those that are not commonly spoken about. This could be anxiety in a crowd, fear of heights, confined spaces, or, conversely, emptiness around. In some works, anxiety is felt in the sharp contrasts of light and shadow, in others - in the blurred outlines, tension in the model's pose, or an angle that disorients. Particular attention is drawn to the decision to forgo captions and explanatory texts. The viewer does not search for familiar names of phobias but listens to what happens inside when facing a specific frame. For some, the feeling of loneliness may resonate, for others - a loss of control, for others - childhood memories that seemed long forgotten. Thus, the exhibition hall becomes a space for internal dialogue, where one can calmly acknowledge that everyone has fears and there is nothing shameful about it.
