Fedor Toschev's project is a contemplative exploration of the interaction between humans and nature, time and memory. The artist transforms the shore of the Rybinsk Reservoir into an open workshop, where fragile temporary forms become a means of discussing the history of the place. Fedor Toschev, an artist and photographer, creates series of sculptural compositions from natural and randomly found materials - stones, branches, fragments of bricks. These constructions balance on the edge of stability, preserving within them a tense moment of equilibrium. Their life is short: water and wind quickly destroy the form, leaving only a photograph - a trace of existence, captured in time. Each work is connected to a specific geographical point on the map of the Rybinsk Reservoir - an area where dozens of villages and monasteries were flooded during the construction of the hydroelectric power station. In his sculptures, Toschev works with the themes of disappearance, loss, and rebirth, building a dialogue with the landscape, climate, and history. The venue is the Pennlab gallery at Winzavod.
