The audience will be transported to a mysterious reserve - a paradoxical and fairy-tale world created by the artist Evgeny Rodionov. Guests of the ARTSTORY gallery are familiar with Evgeny Rodionov from the exhibition project "Wonderwood." Its continuation is the exhibition of paintings and graphics "We Are Going to the Water," most of the works presented have not been exhibited before. Visitors will see both very small canvases and graphic works, as well as large-scale polyptychs. The setting for Rodionov's artistic stories is a mysterious reserve where its own laws apply. Its main feature is paradoxicality; the viewer will constantly have to find the incredible in the obvious and vice versa. All the paintings are united by two main themes: the theme of the journey and its goal, the mysterious water. What is this water, and why are the heroes heading there - these are the key questions the artist poses to the viewer. Although the world of Rodionov's heroes is fairy-tale-like, the artist's concept is not related to fairy tales and touches on the most important aspects of human existence. Together with the author, the viewers find themselves face to face with something understandable and at the same time incomprehensible, and in this confusion, new meanings and food for thought are born.
