A large-scale exhibition introduces viewers to the creative legacy of Ernst Unknown - one of the brightest and boldest artists of the 20th century. The project brings together key works of the master and reveals the evolution of his style from early wartime impressions to late philosophical plasticity. In honor of the centenary of Ernst Unknown's birth, an exhibition has been prepared that covers his entire creative biography. Sculptures, graphics, and paintings are united in four thematic sections, allowing to trace the path of the artist - a front-line soldier and thinker, whose art has always remained at the cutting edge of time. Viewers will see early works, in which the experiences of war are still palpable, then - the era of Manezh, which became a turning point in the master's fate. Special attention is given to monumental compositions from the cycle "Giantomachy," where Unknown explores the eternal conflict between man and the world, as well as the philosophical "Tree of Life," one of the most recognizable embodiments of his plastic language. The exhibition includes iconic works: "Mulatto," "Portrait of a Laborer from Beisbar," the famous "Orpheus," "Cosmonaut," "Female Torso," and other works from museum and private collections.
