The exhibition examines the reign of Alexander III as an important historical period with a distinct state ideology. The project allows us to trace how the personality of the monarch and his entourage influenced the development of the country and its public institutions. The project is timed to the 180th anniversary of Alexander III's birth and addresses his reign as a significant historical era and a source of long-term legacy. The first part is dedicated to the state policy of the monarch and reveals the key principles of his course - strengthening autocracy, internal stability, and reliance on national interests. The exhibition features materials from the collections of the Russian Museum, leading Russian museums and archives, as well as private collections. The exhibition space includes portraits of Alexander III, decrees, rescripts, images of members of the Imperial House, correspondence, personal items of the sovereign and his entourage. Gifts presented to the monarch are also displayed: samples of rocks, petroleum products, as well as military uniforms and weapons. A separate section is dedicated to the activities of Empress Maria Feodorovna - her contribution to the development of charity and mercy, as well as her participation in public and state service, which became an important part of the social policy of the era.
