Botanical painting combines observational precision and artistic expressiveness - here the plant becomes a portrait. The exhibition features works by members of the Association of Botanical Artists, created in recent years. The show brings together more than fifty works: graphics, paintings, and decorative-applied art objects. The works were created by members of the Association of Botanical Artists from 2021 to 2025 and are dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the first exhibition of the association. Today, the Association is a large community of authors from different cities in Russia and neighboring countries. It develops botanical art, promotes knowledge about flora, and supports the professional growth of participants, working together with museums, botanical gardens, cultural centers, embassies, and educational institutions. In the sheets and canvases, a "portrait" collection of the plant world of the country emerges. Northern spaces, southern meadows, mountain slopes, and river valleys are read through the characteristic flora, while artists combine scientific accuracy with attention to plasticity and texture: the veins, the curve of the stem, the transparency of the petal, and the tonal transitions of green are important.
