A major theatrical project will gather the history of the stages of the Urals in one route - from posters and costumes to sound mechanisms, masks, and virtual journeys. At the entrance, guests are greeted by the "Wheel of Samsara" from the "Provincial Dances" - a collective that works within the walls of the first theatre in Yekaterinburg. Nearby is a model for a performance by the Irbit Drama Theatre and a costume from "The Tsar's Bride" of the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre, which can be examined up close. In one of the halls stands a real "Volkswagen Beetle" - a prop from the stage. Here, you can try on a theatrical mask, sit at a makeup table, turn the handle of a sound machine and hear how it transforms into a gentle breeze or a hurricane, or strike a one-meter bronze gong that sounded in one of the opera productions. For those who cannot visit all the theatres in the region, a virtual route operates right in the hall. The basis of the exhibition is authentic posters, programs, awards, and personal belongings of theatre people, collected from the archives of the Sverdlovsk organization of the Union of Theatre Workers. The conversation here is not so much about history, but about how the work of the stage is organized from the inside - from rehearsal to premiere.
