The Turben project collects works from the last five years and shows how the artist connects street culture with the traditions of easel painting. The exhibition features completed works, sketches, and experiments with various materials side by side. Turben works with acrylic, pastel, mosaic, and digital media, freely transitioning from one artistic language to another. His characters are born from everyday observations: among them are a round-faced dog, lonely figures, and heroes with a slight touch of detective mystery. Even serious plots, the author often translates into a playful and ironic tone. The exhibition is structured as a narrative about the development of his method. Separate sections are dedicated to working with color, form, and composition, and next to the finished canvases, sketches can be seen. This approach allows one to trace the path from the initial idea to the finished image and notice how the same motif changes when transitioning from painting to other techniques. Turben's visual language has been influenced by Katya Medvedeva, Ivan Sotnikov Sr., and Japanese illustration. At the same time, the author maintains his own style - dynamic, immediate, and built on attention to today's urban life.
