A project dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Museum of Contemporary Art in St. Petersburg, this exhibition addresses the eternal theme of man and his place in the universe. Through more than 150 paintings, sculptures, installations, and multimedia objects, the viewer traces the path of human existence-from birth to the encounter with eternity. The exhibition is structured as a philosophical reflection on the nature of humanity. It brings together artistic voices from different eras-from the early 20th century to the present day. The central idea is one of contrast: chaos and harmony, matter and spirit, fall and rebirth. These oppositions form the dramatic structure of the exhibition, where man is presented not just as a hero of art, but as a metaphor for existence itself. Each section reveals a separate aspect of human life-self-portrait, family, feast, sleep, journey, death. From the expressive images of Adam and Eve to the ironic narratives of postmodernism, the viewer is offered a panorama of meanings reflecting the spiritual quests and doubts of modernity. Artists of the 20th and 21st centuries interpret eternal themes in their own ways: from monumental canvases of the Soviet era to interactive media installations.
