The exhibition addresses one of the most poetic themes of the ancient world - the moment when the bride prepares to cross the threshold between maidenhood and marriage. Through sculpture, vase painting, and jewelry, the image of Aphrodite as the patroness of love and marriage is revealed here. At the center of the exhibition is the ancient wedding ritual of ablution, associated with purification and entering a new life. This transitional moment often appeared in ancient art: the goddess of love was invisibly present beside the bride, along with a sense of blessing and hidden solemnity. The works collected in the hall help to see the wedding ceremony as an important part of religious and social life. Marble images of Aphrodite, ceramic items related to marriage ceremonies, and finely crafted jewelry - rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets - are presented here. These items create an image of a world where love, fertility, and family union are perceived as a sphere of divine patronage. The project is given special expressiveness by the central sculptural group featuring the image of Aphrodite and Eros.
