How have gas stations changed alongside cars and cities? The exhibition traces their journey from the first gas pumps to modern complexes, revealing not only architectural but also cultural history. The exhibition is dedicated to the development of gas stations over the last century. Visitors will see how several gas pumps gradually transformed into multifunctional objects of urban and road environments. The route passes through seven thematic sections, showcasing rare fuel dispensers, archival blueprints, projects from different decades, paintings, video documents, models, and historical photographs. Special attention is given to materials reflecting the reconstruction of the Moscow-Simferopol highway from 1946 to 1950 and typical stations from the post-war period. The narrative concludes with modern complexes, charging stations for electric vehicles, and a section with toy models of technology produced from the 1950s to the 1990s. A total of about 300 exhibits have been collected, including unique items from museums and private collections in Russia and Belarus. Special models have been created for the exhibition, showcasing the development of gas stations from the 1920s to the present day. Look for unusual exhibitions in Moscow on KUDAGO.
