The exhibition introduces the world of Kirill Ovchinnikov, where visual art naturally transitions into product design. Prints on fabrics, porcelain, and ornamental compositions come together to tell a cohesive story about the artist's creative journey. The exhibition showcases for the first time in St. Petersburg a large collection of works by Kirill Ovchinnikov - an artist, designer, writer, and philosopher, whose creativity exists at the intersection of visual art and applied form. The exhibition features over 60 works from different years, allowing viewers to see how one system unfolds across different materials. The main focus is on prints on silk, jacquard, and velvet. The works particularly highlight animalistic and mythological themes, rich in color, ornamentation, and details. The same artistic language continues in porcelain items, some of which were produced at the Imperial Porcelain Factory. Ovchinnikov gained fame for his silk scarves and fabrics with a recognizable writing style and original plots.
