The exhibition summarizes five years of work by the art group PPS and shows how their artistic method has grown from a dialogue with the conceptual tradition into an independent system of images. Carnivality and performative rhythm are combined here in a statement about modernity. The anniversary project is dedicated to the artistic world of PPS - the tandem of Pavel Pepperstein and Sonia Stereo-Styrsky. In it, literary thinking, visual culture, and multimedia approach come together into a cohesive authorial system. The exhibition showcases the atmosphere and internal logic of their art, where modernity is perceived through carnival, play of meanings, and work with cultural archetypes. One of the key lines of the project is related to the rethinking of Moscow conceptualism. For the group, the dialogue with the practice of Andrei Monastyrsky and the group "Inspection 'Medical Hermeneutics'", one of the founders of which was Pavel Pepperstein, is important. However, this is not about direct continuation, but about their own strategy, in which strict conceptual intonation gives way to a more fluid rhythm. The artists themselves define this approach as "carnival conceptualism". In it, classical conceptual arrhythmia transforms into musical and performative movement. As a result, the exhibition is perceived as a space where the idea is not separated from the visual gesture, and a serious conversation about culture coexists with the freedom of artistic play.
