The exhibition shows how artists turn to classical motifs and create new forms while maintaining a connection to the traditions of domestic art. Sculpture has changed along with artists' perceptions of form, material, and means of expressing ideas. This project focuses on the works of four masters who view plasticity as a space for searching for new images. Alexander Gordin, Dmitry Verdiannu, Pavel Ignatiev, and Vladimir Kolesnikov work with different materials and artistic techniques. Some works are built on strict geometry and the expressiveness of metal, while others reveal the natural texture of stone or use color as an independent element of composition. The authors refer to themes familiar from the history of art and mythology but reinterpret them through a modern lens. Classical motifs become a basis for reflections on humanity, culture, and the legacy of past eras. The exhibition features works from the late 20th to the early 21st century, reflecting different stages in the development of contemporary sculpture.
