The first solo exhibition of Andrey Burtov showcases the painter at the moment of forming his style. In the works of recent years, the classical school meets attention to the city, color, and everyday movement. In the presented canvases, there is no desire to surprise the viewer with a sharp gesture. Andrey Burtov works differently: he lingers on an everyday scene, builds space through air, light, and the relationship of figures, giving the urban fragment a painterly density. His studies and genre compositions resemble observations made after a long gaze. The exhibition covers works from five years - a short period, but significant for a budding artist. Through these works, one can trace how the confidence of the hand changes, how color becomes more independent, how composition ceases to be an academic task and transforms into a way to speak about personal feelings of the environment. Ideas on where to go in Moscow are collected on KUDAGO.
