The project introduces the paintings, graphics, and decorative works of Alexey Pakhomov, including illustrations, canvases from the 1920s-1930s, and works from the blockade period. The exhibition reveals the artist's creative journey from joyful images of childhood to heroic themes of wartime. Over 130 works showcase different facets of Alexey Pakhomov's creativity-from painting and graphics to porcelain. Visitors will see iconic illustrations for children's texts by Samuel Marshak, Lydia Budogoskaya, and Rudyard Kipling, as well as sketches for frescoes for a Leningrad cultural house. Paintings from the 1920s-1930s, including "Haymaking", "Reaper", and "Archers", demonstrate the artist's mastery in working with color, texture, and light. Pakhomov often created the same compositions in various techniques, exploring the expressiveness of spots and lines. Lithographs and pencil and ink drawings hold a special place. The final part of the exhibition consists of works created in besieged Leningrad.
