The project is dedicated to the 270th anniversary of the oldest Russian university and tells about its role in the development of domestic science, education, and culture. The exhibition shows the journey from the idea of Mikhail Lomonosov to the modern status of the university as a world-class institution. The history of the university's creation begins in the 18th century when Mikhail Lomonosov and statesman Ivan Shuvalov proposed the idea of an institution where every talented young man, regardless of background, could receive higher education. On January 12, 1755, the decree on the establishment of the university was signed by Empress Elizabeth Petrovna, and the grand opening took place in the spring. Thus began a new era in Russian enlightenment. The exhibition features materials reflecting university life across different eras.
