This meeting combines collective reading, a conversation about the avant-garde, and the live presence of a contemporary artist. At the center is the text of Vasily Kandinsky on color, music, and the inner necessity of art. This format helps to read complex ideas without distance, truly aloud checking how they sound today. Sometimes it is useful to talk about painting not in front of the painting and not in the format of a traditional lecture, but through slow reading of a text that once changed the very way of looking at art. This meeting is organized exactly this way. It continues the program related to the exhibition "Ivan Klyun. Color Forms. Understanding Space" and offers to turn to one of the most important books of Russian avant-garde - "On the Spiritual in Art" by Vasily Kandinsky. The conversation will take place with artist Stepa Panteleev and will be built around fragments in which color, sound, inner necessity, and non-objectivity become part of a large artistic debate about the future of art.
