In the book club, books are discussed without academic rigor and dry formalities. Participants share impressions, argue about characters, find unexpected meanings, and add to their personal reading lists. The club on May 19 will be dedicated to "The Mysterious Island" by Jules Verne. This novel provides an opportunity to talk about adventure, ingenuity, the power of knowledge, and human ability to survive in unfamiliar circumstances. On June 2, they will discuss the novel "A Man Called Ove" by Fredrik Backman. The work tells the story of a grumpy elderly man who begins to experience unexpected changes. The meetings are moderated by Vitaly Tolstov - a book lover, film buff, journalist with many years of experience, and a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia. Register on Timepad.
