About

"Dragon Ball" will serve as a reason to talk about manga as a language of modern Japanese culture. Participants will discuss Akira Toriyama's famous work, learn more about the history and varieties of Asian comics, compare impressions from what they've read, and meet people with similar interests. At the club meeting, participants will analyze one of the most well-known examples of Japanese comic art - Akira Toriyama's work about the adventures of Son Goku and his companions. First, the host will talk about the history of manga and its varieties. Then, participants will be able to move on to discussing what they have read and watched, share their impressions, and hear other viewpoints. The focus will be on the comic "Dragon Ball" - a work that serves as a convenient example for discussing the features of manga as a narrative form. The club is aimed at those who already read manga and manhwa, as well as those who are just starting to get acquainted with Asian comic art. Here, one can expand their reading circle, understand terms and directions, exchange recommendations, and find conversation partners with similar interests. The host, Naya Zubakova, is an artist and an employee of the Hall of Fiction and Art at RGBM. KudaGo features an up-to-date program for Moscow.
