The inner voice that endlessly criticizes and devalues can easily be mistaken for a driver of success. However, it often becomes a source of stress. A professional psychologist will help to understand how to calm the inner critic. The strict inner voice knows how to speak very convincingly. It reminds us of our mistakes, compares us to others, paints catastrophic scenarios, and pushes us daily for yet another effort. Sometimes it seems that without this inner overseer, nothing will work: if you relax, everything will collapse immediately. But over time, constant tension exhausts, deprives life of flavor, and makes any action a reason for self-criticism. At the meeting of the psychological club #AtUncleYung'sHouse, the conversation will focus on how the beliefs "you must try hard," "it's shameful to make mistakes," and "emotions interfere with work" were formed in our childhood and youth, and how useful rules have taken on a destructive function. Guests will try to track their typical formulations and observe in which situations self-criticism intensifies and when it almost does not manifest. A separate block of the meeting will be dedicated to personal boundaries and the right to be tired. Using examples from everyday life, participants will discuss how to create a caring attitude towards themselves without stopping their development. The meeting will be led by Maria Efimova, psychologist at RGBM, psychoanalyst, founder of the psychological club #AtUncleYung'sHouse. Find other events in Moscow on KUDAGO.
