The meeting will discuss how the camera has changed artists' perspectives, influenced the visual language of the 19th and 20th centuries, and became a working tool for many painters. Since its inception, photography has begun to change the way people view the world and what they consider worthy of attention. At the meeting within the "Photo Wednesday" club, they will talk about the complex and very interesting dialogue between the two arts - photography and painting. Listeners will learn how the emergence of the camera reflected on the visual language of 19th and 20th-century artists, why attitudes towards composition, light, fragment, movement, and narrative changed. The lecture will be conducted by Ekaterina Putrya - a member of the Union of Photographic Artists of Russia, art photographer, and museum educator.
