About

Why does even the most tolerant person sometimes get irritated during communication? This will be discussed in the lecture by cross-cultural psychologist Maria Vysheleskaya. It happens: a person says "the wrong thing," jokes "inappropriately," behaves "too differently" - and inside, a wave of irritation rises. In this meeting, we will talk about where it comes from and how to react to it. The host, Maria Vysheleskaya - a cross-cultural psychologist and art therapist - suggests looking at tolerance as a skill that depends on context. The expert will explain why negative emotions arise even in people with open views, how our perception of "us" and "them" changes depending on fatigue, stress, and why immersion in another culture does not guarantee an increase in tolerance. Short mini-lectures will alternate with practice and discussion. Where to go in Moscow, KudaGo knows.
