While listening to opera, the audience often paints their own portrait of the hero in their imagination: how he moves, looks, experiences, what is hidden behind the recognizable intonations of the aria. The vocal evening in the White Hall of the library offers to focus precisely on this similarity. Instead of a dry analysis of scores, attention shifts to living characters, and romantic operas are viewed as stories about feelings that are understandable to a person of the 21st century. Behind the scenes of the evening stands the performers' teacher - the honored artist of St. Petersburg, soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theater Maria Litke. She will introduce the heroes, explain how a role is built in opera theater, how vocal technique connects with acting tasks, and why it is important to understand the inner motivation of a character rather than relying solely on external clichés.
