In the park of the Demidov estate, a battle between the Russian army and Napoleon's troops will unfold. The reenactors will meticulously recreate the victory in the Patriotic War of 1812, and guests will be able to feel part of history. This event is being held for the third time. On Christmas in Taitsy, a historical spectacle will take place: Russian soldiers will push back Napoleon's army and "drive them to the Neman River." Then, a decree from Alexander I on the end of the Patriotic War, also known as the "Christmas Manifesto," will be read to the victors. The historical estate will serve as the backdrop for these significant events. The battle reconstruction will be carried out by clubs from Gatchina, St. Petersburg, and Cherepovets. The festival will be hosted and commented on by historian and writer Boris Kipnis. After the battle, guests will be able to take photos with participants dressed in historical costumes, hold sabers and rifles from the 1812 era, interact with experts, and ask questions of interest. Additionally, the picturesque Demidov Park is open for walks. The event is supported by the Park Agency of the Leningrad Region.
