A virtual journey through Catherine Park - one of the most poetic corners of Russia. Tsarskoye Selo is not only an architectural masterpiece but also the spiritual cradle of Russian literature. The virtual tour of Catherine Park, dedicated to the Day of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, is an opportunity to stroll through the alleys that inspired Pushkin without leaving the cozy hall of the Gogol House. The park, named after Catherine I, spans 107 hectares and combines the formal Old Garden and the picturesque English Park. Its pavilions, bridges, and sculptures seem to have come straight from the pages of a poetic album. During the lecture, the host Svetlana Panchenko will introduce guests to the Grotto, the Admiralty, the Chinese Village, the White Tower, and other attractions, telling about their role in the life and work of the poet. Special attention will be given to the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, where the personality of young Pushkin was formed. The tour will allow a view of the Lyceum as a living organism of an era filled with ideals, anxieties, and dreams. Where to go in Moscow on weekends will be suggested by our website.
