Three one-act ballets will be performed in one evening at the Kremlin. The choreographers of the productions are modern artists Dmitry Pimonov, John Paul Cook, and Dmitry Antipov. Russian ballet stars will shine on stage. The ballet triptych is dedicated to three facets of Russian culture: music, literature, and painting. Each part of the triptych reflects one of the facets of this trinity. The first part of the triptych is dedicated to the theme of music. Dmitry Pimonov's ballet "Rachmaninoff" is set to the music of the composer's youthful cycle "Fantasy Pieces." The cycle consists of five pieces: "Elegy," "Prelude," "Melody," "Polichinelle," and "Serenade." The choreography of the ballet combines classical and modern dance. In the second part of the triptych, dedicated to literature, the premiere of the ballet "The Gentle Spirit" based on Dostoevsky's novella by British choreographer John Paul Cook will take place. The ballet, staged in a neoclassical style, conveys the complex palette of emotions experienced by Dostoevsky's characters in his tragic work. The evening will conclude with Dmitry Antipov's ballet "Footage," reflecting the theme of painting. The performance is based on motifs from Wassily Kandinsky's paintings, accompanied by the music of Maurice Ravel. Expressive choreography, music, color, and light together create a colorful spectacle. The performances feature prima ballerinas from leading Russian theaters - Evgenia Obraztsova (Bolshoi Theatre), Irina Perren (Mikhailovsky Theatre), Daria Kandalaki (Bochkova) ("Kremlin Ballet"), Ksenia Ryzhkova (guest prima ballerina of MAMT) - as well as soloists from the Mariinsky Theatre Konstantin Zverev, Elena Evseeva, and Kristina Shapran, MAMT soloist Valeria Mukhanova, ballet artist and choreographer John Paul Cook (United Kingdom), Dmitry Sobolevsky.
