Artist Svetlana Sinyova will talk about her creative journey: from icon restoration to creating a series of portraits of poets and philosophers. Svetlana Sinyova studied at the art studio of the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren in Lenin Hills, then attended Art School No. 1, graduated from the Art College of the 1905 Memorial (MAHU) in the restoration department, and worked with icons from private collections. Later, she joined the Moscow Union of Artists and became a member of the Union of Artists, actively participating in exhibitions, and her works are held in museums and private collections in Russia and abroad. Another important part of her life is teaching drawing, painting, and composition. The artist will discuss the genre of portraiture in her work. Initially, her daughter Anya posed for her works, and over time, portraits of poets and writers appeared, created from photographs. In this method of working, it was important not to "reproduce" the photograph, but to reinterpret it and create her own artistic image. Thus, portraits of Pasternak, Yesenin, Akhmadulina, and others emerged. Sinyova is also engaged in literary activities, writing poetry and prose, so the dialogue with the audience will be multilayered - about word, image, and the inner light that the artist seeks in the model.
