What did the everyday life of ancient Greeks look like? In this creative meeting conducted in English, participants will learn how people lived in ancient Panticapaeum, how they decorated their homes, and organized their daily lives. What do we know about everyday life in antiquity? What colors and shapes did the Greeks prefer, how did they organize their space, what did they use to decorate their homes, and what was their daily routine like? These questions will be the focus of an unusual meeting where history and art merge with language practice. The event is part of the series "Talking about Art in English. The Everyday in Art" and invites you to peek into the home of an ancient Greek - with its architecture, interior, aesthetics, and way of life. Together with art historian Anastasia Lavrentyeva, guests will discuss what the citizens of ancient Panticapaeum lived by, what was important in space design, and what meanings everyday objects carried. Thanks to visual materials, lively discussions, and stories, participants will be able to literally "immerse" themselves in that era. Entertainment in Nizhny Novgorod is collected on our website.
