Sixty years ago, in 1966, Italian philosopher and semiotician Umberto Eco wrote his first children's tale - "Three Cosmonauts." Today, this story about the meeting of earthlings with a Martian comes to life on the Israeli stage: director Anton Fyodorov has transformed the parable of friendship and overcoming fear into a family show format with live music and a creative workshop. In the summer of 2026, the production will be shown in three cities in Israel - Netanya, Haifa, and Tel Aviv. "Three Cosmonauts" is a show for audiences aged 4 to 104, captivating both children and adults alike. Starring are Semyon Shteinberg and Irina Soboleva. After each performance, young viewers will be welcomed to a creative workshop with the artists, where they can create their own Martian landscape. The show combines theater, music, and visual arts: the scenography is inspired by the avant-garde collages of artist Eugenio Carmi, who illustrated Eco's original book.
