In the training "Reading to a Four-Legged Friend," children interact with pets and read short excerpts from their favorite books. Reading can be a joy, but it sometimes turns into a challenge: words slip by, letters get mixed up, adults rush - and interest in the book fades. The training "Reading to a Four-Legged Friend" changes the reading process for the child. Next to a friendly dog from the "Good. Together" foundation, it’s no longer scary, and sentences come together easily. Children read aloud without judgment or comparison, and the support comes from a wagging tail and the attentive gaze of their four-legged listener. The sessions are structured in short sets of about 15 minutes - a comfortable rhythm for children aged 6-8. First, the children get acquainted with the dog and the rules of safe interaction. Then they choose a book: they can bring their favorite from home or take one from the library display. Reading in this format is especially helpful for shy children. Each meeting is a micro-success that they want to repeat. The project is implemented together with a charitable foundation: the meeting also has a social meaning - it helps pets get closer to home, and children to friendship with books.
