Let’s take dictionaries, Russian language textbooks, and start actively reading fiction - by the beginning of April, you should be fully prepared to tackle the new text of the Total Dictation. "Total Dictation" is a representative story of how passion and entertainment become an international event, joined by children, popular writers, and show business stars. Starting as a student gathering in 2004, it has grown each year with new participants and regions where the dictation is written. For example, last year, more than 1.3 million people from 50 countries decided to write the text by dictation. The dictation has been written for several years not only in urban venues but also online. "Dictators" at different times have included Psoy Korolenko, Dima Bilan, Svetlana Surganova, Mikhail Boyarsky, Viktor Sukhorukov, and other famous artists and performers. As for the texts of the dictation, initially, participants wrote classic works by dictation, and later, contemporary authors became the writers: Boris Strugatsky, Dina Rubina, Evgeny Vodolazkin, and other writers whose books regularly become bestsellers and serve as the basis for film scripts. The author of the text in 2026 is writer Alexey Varlamov, rector of the Gorky Literary Institute and winner of the "Big Book" award. The text is dedicated to the childhood and parents of Alexander Pushkin. Start preparing and make sure to register!
