Howard Shore’s iconic soundtrack has captivated millions worldwide, and now, we bring it to Poole! Performed by the modern orchestra Mystery Ensemble, this magical evening will transport you instantly into the heart of Tolkien’s universe, where elves, hobbits, and dwarves roam. The virtuoso playing of the musicians will bring to life the stirring, powerful, and deeply emotional compositions of Howard Shore, the three-time Academy Award winner, whose work shaped the very essence of Peter Jackson’s cinematic masterpiece. This enchanting musical journey promises to be one of the most magical concerts of the season, with tickets selling out fast! Mystery Ensemble about the programme: “On this beautiful evening, you will feel like the heroes of Tolkien’s fantastic universe, where elves, orcs, hobbits, and dwarves live! Imagine: a chamber hall, the authentic sound of motifs from the soundtracks… Fabulous, isn’t it? There are rumours that various film composers, having heard The Lord of the Rings in our performance, strenuously began composing soundtracks for other films - hoping that someday we will also perform them! We decided to think about it. Duration: 75 min (including a 15-minute interval). Doors open at least 30 minutes before the concert. Out of respect for guests and performers, late entry may not be permitted. We cannot guarantee your original seats after the concert begins. Age restriction: 6+ About venue St Peter’s Church, Parkstone is one of Dorset’s finest Victorian churches, standing at the heart of Lower Parkstone in Poole. Completed in 1881 and later enhanced by the renowned cathedral architect John Loughborough Pears.
