A staple of the Jersey Shore’s event calendar, the Downbeach Seafood Festival returns to Ventnor’s beautiful Ski Beach on Saturday, September 19th, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday, September 20th, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Now entering another year of celebrating coastal flavor and local pride, this beloved gathering invites residents and visitors alike to savor the best of the region’s culinary scene, surrounded by bay breezes and the energy of a true community affair. Hosted by Good Team Tricycle Productions, the Downbeach Seafood Festival transforms Ventnor’s waterfront into a haven for seafood lovers. Approximately two dozen local and regional restaurants, seafood purveyors, farmers, and culinary artisans will be onsite, each offering their own take on fresh, seafaring fare. From clam strips to lobster rolls, grilled octopus to oysters on the half shell, and even pineapples overflowing with garlic shrimp or spicy rice, the diversity of dishes reflects the depth of South Jersey’s food culture and the talents of its chefs and restaurateurs. More than a tasting event, the Downbeach Seafood Festival is an invitation to explore Atlantic County through the lens of its food, people, and traditions. Visitors will find the laid-back rhythm of beach life perfectly balanced with vibrant culinary offerings, Jersey-made craft beer, chef-led cooking demos, and the sounds of live music filling the air. Locally crafted art, interactive exhibits, family-friendly activities, and sand sculpting add even more texture to this dynamic weekend. As part of National Hunger Action Month, the festival continues its proud partnership with the Community Food Bank of New Jersey through the always-popular Chowder Cook-Off. Guests can purchase tasting tickets, sample a wide variety of chowders from area restaurants, and cast their votes for the best bowl.
