It’s been two years since The Cabarats last took to the stage at The Barrel House Ballroom and this December they’re finally back. Blending Balkan and Middle Eastern influences with reggae, ska, dub, psychedelia and seriously infectious grooves, The Cabarats have built a reputation for exhilarating live shows that refuse to sit neatly in any one genre. Expect accordion, oud, brass, bass-heavy rhythms and a whole lot of energy as this five-piece takes us on a musical journey from deep dub and Eastern European folk to raucous ska and psychedelic rock.
