The old good Christmas story gains new life in a musical-dramatic performance with an orchestra and an actress on stage. Selected fragments from Tchaikovsky's ballet and Hoffman's fairy tale merge into a cohesive story about good, miracles, and transformation. At the intersection of theater and classical music, an amazing performance is born, inspired by Hoffman's fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." During the New Year holidays, children and adults will see the familiar story on the stage of the St. Petersburg Capella in the format of a one-act theatrical concert. The musical part will be performed by the "Orchestra 1703" under the direction of Allayar Latypov. The ensemble will present adapted fragments of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet in the version of Georgy Fyodorov. Each number sounds like an independent scene, but together they build a coherent dramaturgy filled with emotions and Christmas magic. Against the backdrop of the music, actress Anastasia Lazareva will read the text part of the fairy tale, bringing to life the story of the nutcracker who turned into a prince and the girl who decided to help him.
