Masterpieces of Japanese animation will be shown on Wednesdays at the Moskino Muzeon Cinema. Every Wednesday until the end of July, Moskino Muzeon invites you to evening outdoor anime screenings. The program features iconic films by Makoto Shinkai and Katsuhiro Otomo, with each meeting preceded by an introductory talk by film critic Sergey Sergienko. On July 16, viewers will see "5 Centimeters per Second" - an intimate story about first love, lost connections, and elusive time. On July 23, there will be a screening of "Akira" - the legendary dystopia by Katsuhiro Otomo that changed the perception of animation's possibilities. The program will conclude on July 30 with "Garden of Words" - a drama by Makoto Shinkai. Each session is accompanied by commentary from Sergey Sergienko: viewers will learn how Japanese culture influences the plot and style, what symbols are hidden in the visual details, and why these films have become classics. Stay tuned for updates and schedule changes on the cinema's website.
