Director Semyon Spivak was the first in St. Petersburg to stage the play by Don Nigro. The characters in the stories told on stage are animals, but they are portrayed exclusively through the actors' performances. The play consists of eleven short sketches, where the main characters are animals. However, the situations they find themselves in and the choices they make are close to human ones. The characters are endowed with human emotions and feelings, making everything that happens even deeper and more multifaceted. And, of course, there will be no animal costumes or masks on stage: all transformations occur solely due to the actors' mastery. The play is considered one of the best in Don Nigro's oeuvre, who is known for his admiration of Russian culture. Productions based on his works have long been popular in Europe and America.
