The fairy tale-fable by Carlo Gozzi is the first play staged in the Theater Courtyard, at the new venue of RAMT. The story of the eternal struggle between good and evil unfolds in the city of Samandale. Princess Zobeida married King Sinadab thirty-nine days ago and is quite happy. However, an old priest named Abdalak decides to reveal to her a terrible secret: her husband is a cruel sorcerer and will soon turn her into a cow. Such was the fate of all women before her, as after forty days the king loses interest in them... The play was directed by Oleg Dolin, a director and actor in theater and cinema.
