A poor young man named Aladdin had no idea that the lamp he found contained a magical genie ready to grant him three wishes. The performance is recognized as one of the most beautiful puppet productions of the theater: the audience will see a miniature Eastern city and magical transformations. The performance, which premiered in the 1940s, was directed by O. Ushakova (producer - S. Obraztsov). The literary basis is a play by N. Gernet, which the playwright wrote inspired by the famous collection of Arabian tales "1001 Nights". The production uses rod puppets, as well as colorful decorations created by artist B. Tuzlukov: the action of the performance takes place against the backdrop of a small Eastern city, where every detail is skillfully crafted - you can even see a palace. For the production, animal puppets were created - a camel, an elephant, a tiger (masters - E. Gvozdeva and N. Solntseva). In this magical performance with an atmosphere of mysterious East, there are also musical elements: music composed by G. Teplitsky is played. The wonderful adventures of the poor Aladdin begin when he comes into possession of a magic lamp. The genie, whom Aladdin frees from the lamp, is ready to fulfill any of his wishes - but only three.
