The production of the theater project "a39" brings Chekhov's plot back into a lively modern conversation - with a comedic tone, a large acting ensemble, and attention to the people who cling to the familiar world as it slips away from under their feet. On stage is a world of people who feel: the old order is ending, but they cannot discuss it out loud. They talk about business, love, debts, memories, and the future, and behind the everyday conversations, a deeper theme gradually emerges - how a person parts with what they considered part of themselves. The production does not strive to explain Chekhov in a single correct way: it leaves space for irony, pauses, recognizable intonations, and personal associations. Of particular interest is the cast.
