A hilariously funny production by Vladimir Danay - a street interpretation of Shakespeare's play. Sir John Falstaff resembles Ostap Bender, but for a "relatively honest way of taking money" he chooses a completely wrong path. Two aggrieved women with a shortage of male attention become involved in the affair. A fantastic carnival unfolds before the audience: the characters change costumes, get mixed up in letters, and endlessly pun. In addition to the translated Shakespearean text, the actors use improvisation and literally translate the original into modern Russian. All of this, the director believes, does not contradict Shakespeare's own intention, as this is his only play about contemporary England.
