A stage version of the legendary Hollywood film "Ninotchka" directed by Mikhail Rakhlin. Director Mikhail Rakhlin turned to Hollywood classics. The basis for his play is the film shot by Ernst Lubitsch in 1939. Notably, the main character of the film, created at the infamous "Dream Factory," was a Soviet girl - party worker Nina Yakusheva. The plot centers around a story of how a group of emissaries, on a party assignment, goes to Paris to sell jewels confiscated during the revolution. However, the luxurious and idle life in the city of dreams intoxicates yesterday's idealists. Only the principled and uncompromising Ninotchka can save the situation, as she must guide her hapless colleagues and see the task through to the end.
