A tragic story of family disintegration in a production by Yulia Persild based on Gorky's play "Vassa Zheleznova." The creators of the play reinterpret the tragic conflict of the play, centered around the strong-willed woman Vassa Zheleznova, as well as the very image of the main character. In her, the authors of the play attempted to see a wife and mother saving her family from disintegration. She wants the best, but it is futile. She bears the weight of the house and business on her shoulders, but they crumble before her eyes, and all circumstances turn against her. The action of the play takes place at Christmas. The artificial cheerfulness of the family holiday only highlights the internal pain and disconnection of the characters, who are the closest relatives to each other. The title role is played by Yulia Persild, who also became the director of the production. The text is based on two versions of "Vassa Zheleznova" and fragments from other works by Gorky, written by playwright Konstantin Steshik.
