About

A dark cosmic energy called "Three Fat Men" ("T-3") penetrates Earth… Director Andrei Moguchy has staged a modern anti-utopian fairy tale for teenagers and adults. The artistic director of BDT, Andrei Moguchy, reinterprets the famous fairy tale by Yuri Olesha. The action takes place in a fantastical future, when the balance of not only earthly forces but also cosmic ones has changed. According to the plot, a strictly classified experiment was conducted long ago, during which scientists opened a portal to another dimension. From there, dark cosmic energy, named "Three Fat Men" or "T-3", penetrated the planet. Because of it, chaos reigned on Earth, and evil took over human life. This happened during the era of the Great Convergence - when Saturn met Jupiter. As they approached, these two planets had previously influenced Earth in strange ways: cataclysms, wars, revolutions erupted. The hero of the play - scientist Gaspar Arneri - lived for many years as a recluse among formulas and scientific developments, carrying out secret government orders. But then a rebellion against the tyranny of the "T-3" energy began in the city, forcing the scientist to come into the light. He met rebels from the circus, the brave tightrope walker Tibul and the daring gymnast Suok, who changed his views on life. Gaspar faces a difficult task: to find a chance for the revival of human civilization amidst the surrounding devastation and to defeat the "T-3" energy.
